So, give your family a treat tonight – make a Perfect Pepperoni Pizza. Your kids will be excited to learn that pizza doesn’t always come from the freezer.
Perfect Pepperoni Pizzas
- 1 Tbsp. Mama Mia™ Marinara Sauce Mix
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 (12-inch) thin pre-baked pizza crusts
- 3.5 oz. sliced pepperoni
- 2.25 oz. can sliced black olives (optional)
- 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
Combine first 2 ingredients; stir to blend. Preheat oven as directed on pizza packaging. Spread Mama Mia Marinara Sauce mixture over crusts; top with pepperoni, olives if desired and cheese. Bake as directed on pizza packaging. Makes 6 servings.
Tips
- If you’re handy or ambitious and want to make your own pizza crust, you’ll have enough ingredients to make a 17 x 11 (standard baking sheet) pizza.
- Chopped artichoke hearts or sliced mushrooms would be good on this pizza too.
- Replace the pepperoni with about ½ lb. cooked ground beef or Italian sausage.
