Classy Classy Chocolate Pound Cake

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine first 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl; stir to blend. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 baking pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Top each slice with whipped cream, raspberries and pecans. Makes 8-10 servings.

Testing Notes

  • Prepare the pound cake in a 9-inch round cake pan. (The baking time will be reduced slightly.) Do use the toothpick test to determine when the cake is done. Cool cake; cut into wedges.
  • Strawberries or blackberries may be used in place of the raspberries. Add walnuts or hazelnuts in place of the pecans.
  • Make it even more gooey and fabulous by drizzling warmed Creamy Caramel Sauce over the top. No time for freshly whipped cream? Use non-dairy whipped topping or a trusty can of refrigerated aerosol whipped cream.
