‘Tis the season for cookouts … and cookout-inspired food. As much as I love a grilled burger, I understand that sometimes you do have to eat other things – like dip that tastes like a grilled burger! You can enjoy this dip outside at a cookout, inside while you watch it rain, on the couch while you watch TV, at someone else’s home … it’s got all the fun of a cookout with less chance of rain and bug bites.
Cheeseburger Dip
By Lisa Ek
- 8 oz. ground beef
- 1/2 tsp. Everyday Grillin’™ Seasoning
- 1 packet Smoky Cheddar Cheese Ball Mix
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. Burger & Brat Mustard or to taste
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup or to taste
- 2-3 Tbsp. dill pickle slices
- Crackers
Season ground beef with Everyday Grillin’ Seasoning; brown, drain and cool. Combine dip mix and cream cheese; spread on a serving platter. Cover and chill 2 hours. Top cream cheese mixture with cooled ground beef and next 4 ingredients. Serve cold with crackers. Makes 10-12 servings.
Tips:
- This is a very fun dip that really does taste like a cheeseburger.
- If you like raw or fried onions on your cheeseburger, those would be good sprinkled on top of the dip, too.
- You can finely chop the pickles if you wish to make the dip a little easier to get on a cracker.
- Crumbled bacon would be delicious sprinkled on top of the dip.
- Ruffled potato chips make a good dipper along with the crackers.
